yes, there are a lot of faster programs for calculating PI (I have some), but this is the only I have the code. anyway, i hope this helped.

Sure, from the mathematical standpoint, calculating pi is fun and games, really good stuff. From a pratical standpoint: To calculate the radius of the universe to the diameter of a proton given its radius requires fewer than 100 digits. So, keep counting. If you are really interested in this, I would reccomend reading Pickover''s Keys to Infinity which talks about all sorts of things. Great book!
