This one guy told me that the best book to get wass How to program C++ by Deitel and Deitel and I brought it and now I found out that he was wrong and that this book only can help me program a guess a number game. what is a good book to get me started programing all types of games, such as fighting, rpgs, and even tetris. Can you please tell me.

Just about all c++ books are like that. You can''t expect to write windows apps and graphical games when you first start. You must learn to write console applications(Like the ones that are most likely in that book). After that then you can move on to graphics with books like "Windows game programming for dummies.

As a matter of fact, i have C++: How to Program by Dietel and Dietel right here on my lap!
I find it to be a very informative book, and it is more oriented for a classroom textbook.
And to topic starter: You have to know a helluva lot of C++ (or any language really) to have a really good grasp on how to use graphics and arranging everything together. Its not like: "OK im turning to this page in x book and from there ill learn how to write a tetris clone"
