For my terrain engine I''m keen to implement DOT3 bump-mapping but I can''t find any good textures with a heightmap to use in this way. Have any of you talented people got such textures - I''d love to discuss use of them in my work. I do need to distribute demos so your textures would also need to be distributed but I can put whatever wording into the readme file you want. Eventually I wish to commercial but that''s a whole other story! Email me with links/examples of your work please. Thanks

Sorry I don''t know him - I don''t generally come to this forum, can anyone help me?
Take a look at this map

If you have photoshop, you can find a color image, and then grayscale it.

Another option is just searching for bump maps/terrain maps/height maps on google.

[update] heres one proggie that might prove useful

NVidia

A heightmap pack

Ah, you misunderstand me I think. I already can generate heightmaps for the level, but I paint my landscape my having a set of small textures to tile across it e.g a grass texture, a mud texture...
What I want is for these textures to not just be a 2D image but have an associated heightmap/bumpmap with them. So a cobbled road has a heightmap texture (for DOT3 use) to make it seem bumpy, gravel looks rough etc.
Generating such things from photographed textures is way beyond my time & interest resources so I rely on someone to have some (I guess I could test it with randomly generated heightmaps but that''d suck a bit!)

NEW (18th December)2 new screenshots, one from the engine and one from the level editor
