You can''t say he didn''t learn the forum''s etiquette quickly.

you mean common like peasant? or common like shared? or common like typical? or common like "the little house on the common"?

I think by common he was refering to a game like pong, snake, tetris, breakout, pacman, and so on.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other player's eyes with his King.

1) You are a begginer, you need to learn code to make a game

It is funny the way that you can''t spell ''beginner'', whilst someone from Israel can.

OMG FFS you people annoy me... you keep telling how brerick is flaming etc. etc. and what are you doing yourself? FLAME HIM that''s right... FLAME HIM in someone else''s topic! Although the way he said it may be a little insulting, he also gives some good advice: learn to program first, post in another forum (doh this is gamedev.net, but the game programming forum would be a much better place to expose game plans, and the help wanted forum is for recruitment) and he tells him to get some more info about his plan first. I think those 3 are really good to help a beginner. The other 2 are too insulting and so is his attitude, but I can understand since I get a bit sick of millions of topics being repeated over and over again with the same dumb contents since those people don''t take the time to read the so-called FAQ first... So please don''t make this a flame-brerick topic but answer the question the topic is about.

To do this last thing: I think you should not ask for help if you want to make a beginner''s game. I wasn''t exactly sure if this is what you meant. Because if it was, you''d probably make that game to LEARN and you''ll learn less if you work in a team on just a small game. (Well you''ll learn how to work in a team but not how to program ) if you meant "a-game-like-thousands-of-others" I think your question is too general. Posting a doc file about your exact plans (untill now, doesn''t have to cover every aspect and is probably not final) would get you more interested readers (and less flaming ones)

I hope this help you out, because I think this topic is too general and too much flamed for you to get any benefit from it (although I do not know how many people responded on your ICQ)

Oh a final note to Lektrix: Please don''t make dumb posts like that. Makes you look like an idiot...

Denied.

Thank you for picking on just me. Incidently, your post could very well also be classed as flaming.

Sorry guys, didn't know I would make anyone that angry... I know whenever I used to post stupid questions in other forums, I would get chewed out. It helped me grow as a programmer though and learn how to act around hear. Also, if you get angry at me for flaming, tell me, don't insult me. There is only one thing that really ticks me off in this world and that is hypocrits.

Also, there is a forum for posts like this, it is called help wanted. Try there next time buddy, but let me warn you, it is a much more hostile place than this. I have been chewed out countless times there, for having stupid ideas and what-not.

you know, on flipcode, you can reply to a flamer without interfering with helpful responses. It wasnt until now that i realized the advantage of that.

Huzzah!! Victory is ours.

Congratulations, Brerick.

There are several reasons why you look like an idiot right now.
1) You are flaming a newbie for no reason
2) You seem to be incapable of understanding the concept of etiquette
3) You are on the wrong forum if you feel like flaming people
4) You just made yourself out to be a complete loser

Think about it before you post next time. I suggest you delete your post before you are moderated.
