Someone has the book? I dont know whether to buy it or not So is it good? Should I buy it? PM
PM Times change... Excuse my poor english!
I took a look at it one afternoon in a library... It was very difficult reading.

If you are a bit of a beginner or you don''t have much experience with math, I''d get a different book

Here''s a review of it here on gamedev:

I''d agree with that. The book is very ''academic'' in nature and seems to be aimed at people who already have some experience with engine design - its also extremely heavy on the math

I''ve got it and I use to to dip into occasionally, but if you are just starting out my advice would be to look at some of the open source engines out there (and the quake source) to get some idea of an engine structure.

OGRE is an up and coming Open Source OOP engine that is worth a look.

Or (shameless plug) you could have a look at the GTEngine that I''m working on. http://www.geocities.com/chromadrake/projects/gtengine/gtengine.html

It''s definately not soft reading material. more like an absolute reference for anything and just about everything that goes into a 3d engine. I like it, but it is a bit difficult to read strait. brush up or your calculus before you read it.

Fantastic book. If you aren''t so good at maths ( you''ll need degree level, at least first year ), don''t get it, otherwise, do.

Death of one is a tragedy, death of a million is just a statistic.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
