Is that a joke?
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other player's eyes with his King.

Yes. The keyboarding skills employed in writing HTML tags can easily be tranfered to writing in a programming language, such as C++.
What? HTML is nothing like C++. About the only thing you are going to get out of HTML that you can use in C++ is the fact that you have to use brackets <> and learning to type faster. Also, get used to commenting your files because it will definitely help.

&#106avascript is closer to c++ than HTML ...<br><br>Why dont u just start with c++/c its not hard <br><br>-----<br>Losec<br>-----

Well, I am going to practice C++ in my spare time but my job is requireing me to go to classes for HTML. So I was wondering how enthusiastic I should be about learning HTML because I really want to understand those C++ teaching books better. (I think, at the rate I'm learning it, what I realy need is a "C++ for Dummies" book.)

HTML isn''t a programming language. It''s a set of commands that show how a web page should look, that''s all. Programming languages like C and C++ and &#106avascript all have a couple of similar things that HTML does not have:
- the ability to process stuff, to do math
- variables
- functions (and if it''s an object oriented language, classes)
- logic (if statements, while loops, for loops, etc.)

HTML is in no way what so ever a programming language, and it won''t really help you do any real programming. It is very useful to know though. Once you become a rich programmer, you''ll need a website to show off your work, right?

If your web design class teaches more than HTML (like, &#106avascript or Perl or PHP, for example), then it''ll help a whole lot with learning C++. <br><br><hl><br>- <font color=#4F4FE7>f </font><font color=#4B4BDD>l <font color=#4848D4>u </font><font color=#4646CB>c <font color=#4242C2>k </font><font color=#3F3FB8>y <font color=#3B3BAE>p </font><font color=#3838A5>o <font color=#333399>o</font><br><font color=white>
