dll's and linux

Does unix/linux have an equivalent to dll''s? thanks in advance for the help.

yes, shared libraries.

Yes, they are called "shared objects" and usually have the extension .so

Thank You Null and Void that was exactly what i was looking for. I was looking at linux.org, guess that wasn''t the right place.
