How would I make graphics for a 2d isometic game using photoshop after my first clones of games? Graphics as in buildings, units, interfaces, etc. Thanks in advance. DarkNebula DarkNebula
I am making graphics for my own 2D isometic game and I am using a 3D modeller. I create the 3D model and then render a 2D picture of it including the transparency colour.
I think you can get some good looking stuff with several weeks worth of learning especially if it is easy geometric stuff like buildings.
There are free modellers including Milkshape. I use a 3D modeller called trueSpace(version 4.3) and get good results. Check around for an earlier version. I think there''s a complete version on the front of Computer Arts magazine and 3D world.

That was the direction I was going for. Using a 3d program to create my 2d graphics. Thanks you made me fell a lot better about my choice. Thanks for your input!
