so i should learn java then c++ if i want to become good at programming? as i herd java is simpler and once i know that c++ will be a breeze so to speak?

I say start with C++

I would say that the best piece of advice is choose a language and move along... if your just getting into programming. As your skills increase you find that one language is just like any other. Just pick the one you like better... or is more fun or whatever. Pick a reason. And go. +) there is time to be spent learning. +)

Yes and no. Visual C++ is a product, C++ is a standardized language. Visual C++''s compiler implements most of standard C++.

c++ is getting eaiser but im only on day 4 of sams 21 days book
