I keep trying to compile the C# direct x 9.0 .Net samples but keep getting using Microsoft.DirectX; namespace not found so im guessing i need to link it in or somthing manually. But how do i do that with the Microsoft visual .Net compiler?
Project->Add reference. Find the Microsoft.DirectX.* assemblies on the list. If they''re not there, you have a botched installation.

bah, might be the order i installed things becasue i first installed the direct x 9.0 sdk and then i saw that there wasnt any c# samples there so i got my mate to let me use his subscriber accound and download the .Net compiler and i installed it *takes deep breath* then i went to a website that had a link to the direct x 9.0 sdk for C# and i dl that.
Dont think i can be bother to reinstall it, ive had enough with that damned .Net compiler as it is. Its horrible slow loading up and im on a 1.1 ghz comp with no other programs running.
You have to install the .NET Framework BEFORE you install DX9 to get Managed DX installed.
