GLaux was Windows only. GLaux is unsupported and broken anyway, you wouldn''t want to use it even if you could. One alternative, although there doesn''t appear to be a Debian package for it, is DevIL (OpenIL). Personally, I just write my own loaders, using applicable libraries where needed (libpng, et cetera).
