Hi everyone. I have just learnt quite a bit of DirectDraw for the most part along with DirectSound and Input. I have created my own 2D game. After I complete my side scrolling project I plan on trying to learn Direct3D. I have a solid understanding of C++. I was wondering which book would be best for me to help to learn Direct3D. Oh and I found Andre LaMothe''s book Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Guru''s to be very good and easy to follow. So if anyone has any recommendations on any books for learning D3D or any other methods I should look into please let me know.
LaMothe''s new book ''Tricks of the 3d Game Programming Gurus: Advanced 3d Graphics and Rasterization'' is due out next month. If you already know most of the basics, you might want to wait for that.

Or theres Jim Adams, programming role playing games with directX 8.0, which is quite good once you struggle past the opening chapters.

Cool I guess I''ll wait and become better with DirectDraw. The roleplaying book I''ve heard good things about I might buy it and give it a read. Thanks.
