hey I found a easy way to give the terrain different textures. I just color the grayscale image and then I just give the certain TexCoords to a certain point. It''s really working, but.. I got one problem now. I don''t know why this happens but it looks like the whole terrain.bmp texture is turned around 90 degrees. So I don''t get it to the right position. I even tried to save the image in diffrent variations. But it''s not working. I would send a screen shot if somebody is interested.
YEEAAAHHH

:D I got it. Looks awsome.. hehehe

please post a screenshot.
and can you describe how you are multitexturing your terrain in detail?
hey

I'm not using multitexturing. What I'm doing is that I just take the grayscale image -> color it -> and load it as texture.
And then I just texture the pixel from the grayscale image with the same pixel of the colored pixel.

I will send in a screen shot when I finished coloring it. I guess it will take a while because of the details. But I will post again when I'm done. =)

in other words, he''s taking a big texture and mapping it over
the entire terrain... not an uncommon method
