Which books do you recommend on network programming (preferably not specific to games) and Windows programming? /. Muzzafarath

"Inside Visual C++" (Kruglinski, Microsoft Press) is pretty good for learning the basics of windows programming with MFC. I''ve definetly learned a lot from this book.

I''ve been trying to teach myself Windows programming (not MFC, the Win32 API--which is really what MFC does, only it kinda hides it) by reading the MSDN Library (and the Platform SDK...go to msdn.microsoft.com for both). I think I''m coming along fairly well. I WOULD like a book on it though...
