driver problem?

I have an NVidia video card. I didn''t get a good performance from the only game I wrote(20-25 fps).I decided that it shouldn''t be so low and probably it was because of the driver(it was rather old). Then I installed a newer driver which was windows certified. The performance of my OpenGL game boosted(100 fps). But sometimes when running the game fullscreen , windows XP shut downs and memory dumps.First I thought it was a fatal error in my game but later on in another game the same problem arised. So my question is : Is it a buggy driver or is it related to OpenGL settings.?
It''s would be a bug in the driver either way. Try a different version of the driver.

NVidia are fairly well known for having stable drivers, so it''s unlikely to be a driver problem; but still, things do still happen.

Could you tell us the other game that crashed, and the exact video card you have?

it is Nvidia Riva TNT model 64

My current driver is (non-problematic) provided by Microsoft with version date 01.07.2001

The problematic driver is provided by Nvidia and its version number is 29.42

The other crashing game was Neil Roy''s Deluxe Pacman

Now I returned to the old driver and i haven''t experienced any problems but the performance is so low!!
