I hope one of you can help me with this. I have an old Pentium 233Mhz that i use to serve the internet to the other computers in our house. i used to get on the net via modem which worked fine. but have recently upgraded to adsl. my internet providor said i had to have the ''alcatel speedtouch usb'' modem so i did, also bought a usb card because the 233 doesnt have usb ports. I can get the modem working however after about 10-15 minutes of connection it disconnects and i get lots of "CRC error in an AAL5 frame" in my logs. the modem works fine in my fast computer. so i am assuming the 233 is to slow to run the modem can anyone confirm this for me.
Well, Google wasn''t too hlpful with this one. Perhaps it would help to know what kernel/driver version you are running. From what I read somewhere, an occurance of the problem was solved by downgrading (but that was on FreeBSD and my french sucks, so that might not apply here )
