Hello,
I am interested in using bitmap masking for rendering symbols to a 2D view. Tutorial #20 was very helpful, but I''m wondering if there is a way to accomplish masking in gl without using textures? Speed is very crucial to my app, and since I had to abandon texture mapped fonts in another area of my code I''m thinking that using textures for my symbols will introduce a bottleneck as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
