The search feature seems to not working at the minute. Sorry if this question seems lame, When designing an online game why does it seem most companies go with DirectX rather than OpenGL?
I don''t now if it''s true that most game company''s choose directx but DirectX is more then only graphics. It''s also input, sound en play. DirectPlay is for network communication so that could be a reason to choose directx.

But OpenGL isn''t worser then DirectX. They are just different.

You could use DirectX for the input, etc. and let OpenGL do the graphics...

It''d make your program a bit bigger, (Link libraries, etc) but if it''s worth it to ya...
Programmers of the world, UNTIE!
