help,help what do i need
hello am a newbie but what do i need to make a game.
what program do i need th make a game like metal of honor.
thats is my biggest dream can someone help me
Basically, you just need a compiler. Microsoft''s Visual C++ or the freeware Dev-C++ are two good choices if you''re working in C++. Other than that, you don''t need much in the way of software - maybe some painting and modelling programs to make the artwork. Check out this section for an idea of where to start.
Oh, and keep in mind that recreting Medal of Honour is, for the foresseable future, a dream. A game like that is extremely difficult to develop - and that''s for a team of experienced professionals working full time with plenty of money behind them. Not to be putting you down, but keep it realistic - start out with a clone of Tetris, Breakout, Pong, that kind of thing.

First of all, you need a compiler, which can setup the source-code for your program. Dev-C++ is a good one (www.bloodshed.net).
Then you need to learn how to program. Buy a book about C/C++ programming.
When you know some basic c-programming and maybe C++, then forget all about this C/C++-book and read some Algebra and Trigonometry. Trig is VERY important for making 3D games.
Just the equation for rotating a box in 2D is very difficult.
But... just go on

I am just wondering, but what language do you speak?
Programmers of the world, UNTIE!
*sigh* Being from the US myself I guess I can''t make fun of you, but maybe he speaks Dutch?...*points at the word Netherlands*
-Your human mentality screams for vengeance and thrives on the violence that you say you can hardly endure...
I''m sorry to break it to you but it is highly unlikely that you will beable to actually create one in the next three or four years if you are just starting to program. It''s much harder than you think.
P.S. I''m from Canada, so I can make fun of anyone.

I would recommand Klick n Play! ;-P
No, but if you want to do something quickly, start with Basic (Visual Basic perhaps..) or Borland Delphi/c++ bulider and make a non 3D game in a form. You can make, like Duck Hunt, Super Mario or something like that. It will take enough time for you to learn coding. After a couple of games like that an a few lesson in math, you are ready to start with 3D coding. Not Medal of Honor as your first 3D game, but perhaps a minor FPS or something..
