I just need to set the transparent color of a 32x32 icon.

Did you know that with Paint you could do that kind of icons?, the transparent color is the one located in position 0,0.

Mac for productivity
Linux for development
Palm for mobility
Windows... for the Solitaire

Didn''t work. Paint can only save .bmp and renaming a 32x32 bmp to .ico doesn''t produce a good icon.

Try using the icon editor that is included with Visual C++ (I know it''s at least in versions 5.0+). It will definately handle transparency.

I use IconEdit32. It''s a very simple program, but it''s totaly free, not trialware or demo. You can download it from the PC magazine website. http://www.pcmag.com
