ATTN: ALL C++ newbies and beginners! FREE C++ game-oriented programming exercises!!
I have a bunch of programming exercises (Not hand-holding tutorials. Exercises.) that deal with learning C++ from the very beginning, using console as the primary means of familiarization with the language. In short, I have 24 labs to share for those seeking guidance. If you have a C++ book already such as C++ Primer Plus, then you are ready for this.
The FAQ lowdown:
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to start learning C++. It is even for those intermediate learners who wish to brush up on their skills. The exercises are intended for console mode only (though if you really want to make it more complicated, you can do the programming exercises in Win32. But I suggest to avoid that till you get your feet wet in the rudimentary C++ language first. Console mode will allow you to do just that.) .
How much? Free!
Why are you giving these out for free, let alone giving them out? Because I feel a newbie/beginner's pain, confusion, and utter lost feelings when first learning the C++ language. And from this understanding, I wish to help. Simply put, I'm feeling benevolent. Cheery. Helpful.
Okay, so how do I aquire these free lab exercises?
Look up my profile's contact info, hop on the IM, and msg me. Or email me at gamer@programmer.net. Let me know that you want these labs. I'll either send them to you via e-mail all zipped up, or over the instant messenger. Btw, I have Trillian. So it doesn't matter what instant messenger you have.
What's so great about these labs, huh? Whoopee, right?
Well, for one, they are fun, game-oriented C++ programming exercises. (After all, we want to make games right? Otherwise why are you here?) In some exercises you'll be making your first mini-games. Mind you, again, this is all in console mode, but you'll gain much progress and learning experience nonetheless, without jumping too fast into the intricacies of Win32 or MFC before you are ready.
How big will the file size be?
Well considering it's in Wordpad Rich Text Format, the total file size is about 100k uncompressed. So it's small.
P.S. One last thing I wish to add is, on some exercises there will be references to a page number. This is in part because I am using the third edition of C++ Primer Plus (not the newest, 4th edition). So if you don't have the third edition of C++ Primer Plus, don't fret. There are plenty of book independent exercises to do.
Peace.

A shortcut is the longest distance between two points.
Yes it would be. I realize that, thank you.
However, I don't have a website from which a person may download. Sorry.
However, if someone else would like to host this and provide a link, I'm sure others would be thankful.
