does anyone know if this combination works well ?? im thinking of buying a laptop for programming since i waste many hours on traveling and was wondering if this is a reliable programming machine. Windows 2000 Compaq PIII bla bla bla bla Visual C++ Professional DirectX 7.0 SDK Forte for JAVA Borland C++ Builder I only intend to have this on the machine (and a couple of games course ) a friend of mine had a compaq with win95 and when i tried to install win98 it locked the system, and the machine was back to the manufacturer, is this common in laptops or just his ? thks
