A Canadian playright, John MacLachlan Gray, wrote that when people who approached him with their One Great Idea That Might Be Stolen, his experience was they were invariably terrible. To quote him, "I''d rather drown myself in a pond of cold vomit, rather than try to make their One Great Idea actually work."
He found those that were generous with ideas usually had lots more than they knew what to do with.
