Delphi DirectX Wrappers
Recently I have been starting to learn some C++ but find myself practicing many things in Delphi, which is the main language I know. I think I am at the stage where I can create a tetris clone, except for that I don''t have the coding ability in c++ yet and would like to learn directx.
I know its been mentioned before that there are DirectX for Delphi. However with the gamedev search function disabled I turned to good old google. This only turned up vast lists of directx conversions people have made themselves.
My question is this: where is the best download available of dx for delphi. Secondly, is it worth trying to do this now or should I continue my learning of c++ and use traditional means of dx. And, if I choose to attempt delphi with dx is it generally the same, i.e same functions to call etc except with different syntax, and would I be able to learn it off say the dx tutorials on gametutorials.com?
Any help is grealy appreciated.
In Delphi, go to Help->About, then while holding SHIFT and ALT at the same time type JEDI. After the movie finishes click the new link that has been added to the about window and you will have your DirectX headers (I could give you the link, but I think you''ll enjoy this easter egg much more).
