This is my first time posting in this section. I''ve been working on a bit of the music side for alittle now, just want to know what you think of this music or should I stick to programming anyways here goes the link. song1 Thanks, PaulJ
Hey, that sounds really nice! What program did you use to make that and what advice can you give to someone wanting to start? I would like to check out how to make some music and beats like you did. That is very cool.

Only one word describes this...SWEEEEET.

I think the bass drum needs to be taken down a bit (and maybe play with its rhythm a little more throughout the song). Another thing, the fade out seems just a tad premature (maybe just push it back 5-10 seconds)...just a few ideas. Great job, makes me want to develope some of my own ideas.

And of course, what program did you use and what's your judgement of it?

Thanks for all the nice feedback.

I''m using Quartz AudioMaster Pro, I really can''t tell you how well it rates against other software cause the only programs I''ve used in the past are Cakewalk Guitar Studio and Fruityloops. Fruityloops is good if you''re going for electronic techno sound. I made this song with what I believe to be the bare minimum. You will need a midi interface, midi keyboard and a guitar and thats about it. Recording is done right on the computer with any type of wave editor that will save to mp3.
As for advise that I can give for someone starting out is take some music lessons & learn music theory, also listen to alot of different styles of music.

I hope this helps

Hey, that sounds reeeally nice.
The only thing, to my mind, is to change the cymbal. It''s too loud compared to the guitar and is not long enough...
As Thunder_Hawk said, you should also take the guitar up a little bit, but not too much.
Finally, it would be interesting if make an "intro"... I mean you can start only with the guitar (for example) and than fade in with drums and/or bass, or something like that...
But just keep it as you like it, this was my point of vue...
thanks for all the advice so far I really appreciate it. If you're interested in listening to another song here is one I just wrote it still needs alot of work.

Thanks

Your guitar skills are awesome! Not bad...
Well, quite good. In fact, I prefer the first one. But I think other people prefer the second one ... just a question of taste...
Oh, I forgot in my last post to tell you that the "Hihats" were not loud enough... (for the first song)
And why don''t you name them ?
Very good stuff. VERY good guitar. Is that a person playing or are you just good with the software? In the first song, the main drum loop does have to be turned town a little, or just remove some bass from it.
