I have taken some time away from game programing, but I''d like to get back into the swing of things. Last year I took AP Computer Science, which is basicly and introductory class to C++, and managed to score a 5 on it''s exam(highest possible), but I''m unsure of where to head from here. I have read the For Beginners resource, but I''m above the "Never Programed" level, and bellow the "Already a Programer" level. I have never gotten into graphics, so when Geoff Howland sugests to start with "Tetris", I am unsure of how to begin. I can come up with how I would do it, but I''m not sure how to implement the graphics of it. Any help as to where I could find a toutorial about this, or how to begin would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Go through and lean the nehe tutorials.

I recommend you go through each one and learn it all. It is also good for begining programers, but is great for experienced ones too.

I recomend you at least learn the first few, up to lesson 30 or so is excelent, and then from there you get into fancy effects that you can save learning for later.

Once you have done that (or you have done and feel confident enough), do a very simple tetris thing.

Or if you''d like to learn DX programming, Andre LaMothe''s "Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus" is said to be an excelent book.
