i'd just like to have those multiple views like in daytona usa..,

i have it worked out, switching from different views, but my problem is, when i move my camera from sourcex to destx and back and forth, everytime i do this, an additional .01 to .04 are always being added, that means, after switching back and forth plenty times, my camera''s position would be in awkward position.
I''m using DX and floats, couldn''t be floats my problem here? coz the numbers just ranged from .001 to .0001.
I based my camera movement on the elapsed time. Could you pls post some ideas as to why is not consistent? I used all d3dx library,
