I''m very interested in taking classes at http://www.gameinstitute.com - But I wanted to get the opinion of folks here first before diving in and spending the cash. The classes appear to run roughly 6 weeks in length, and cover all topics from C++ Programming, game mathematics to RT Terrain rendering, Binary Space Partitioning tree, OpenGL, Direct3D, etc. The prices are reasonable, ranging from $65 - $95 per course. Has anyone else in this forum taken classes here? What did you think? Do you think it''s worth the money and time? Has anyone heard anything BAD about this teaching institute? Heard anything GOOD about them? Any information would be useful. I will probably take the courses regardless of general opinion - but I wanted to get a feel for what everyone else thought anyway. Thanks! Rob ===================== Never try to argue with an idiot, they''ll only pull you down to their level...and beat you with experience.

Thanks for the input. It gave me some insight into what folks think of an advanced class, so I would imagine that the starting classes are as good, to at least build a solid base.

Of course, the unsolicited, biased opinion of the school''s mouthpiece is always helpful and welcome.

Thanks again! Gonna sign up tonight.

Not that I object, but am I the only one who thinks that these posts about Gameinstitute.com are nothing more than adverts??

They seem to be a bit to "hard sell" oriented to me!!!!!!

hey dude,
i took the c++ course but was working at the same time...now i''ve done a little bit of c/c++ before the class but still it can get a little overwhelming...and of course i could''nt give it more than 30% of my time so may be it was just me .
if youre totally squat on c/c++ then you''ll have to work hard to put it very lightly
apart from that stan turjillo is a kick ass dude and is always helping out...almost instantly. really!!! i think the classes are very reasonably priced and you get much more than what you pay for as far as the help from the faculty and his experience...hat''s off to them.
