The C Library (Plauger) is considered better than C/C++ Programmer''s Reference (Schildt).

Check the ACCU review link in my sig.

I wish you luck with finding used books ... check online bookstores (www.isbn.nu, www.half.com, www.bn.com, www.amazon.com ...)

Documents [ GDNet | MSDN | STL | OpenGL | Formats | RTFM | Asking Smart Questions ]
C++ Stuff [ MinGW | Loki | SDL | Boost. | STLport | FLTK | ACCU Recommended Books ]
"Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it." — Brian W. Kernighan

e-books aren''t necessarily free. In fact, I''ve never seen a free one. Not legally, anyway.

A good chance for getting used books is via Amazon.com. They usually sell used versions of most books at reasonable prices.
If you havn''t already, got to Kazaa.com and download "Kazaa 8.1"(er watever version they''re up to now.) With this you can search the entire net for anything, including books. (uh...you download them.)
