I finished a model helicopter simulator that I was working on for a while. you can get it from simulator.freewebspace.com I haven''t been able to test it on machines other then my own so let me know if it runs okay. Mick.
Athlon 1200
ATI All In Wonder Pro 128 AGP 32MB
256MB

Works fine, the only glitch was in collision detection; when I landed I was able to penetrate the ground safely and turn off the engine while still inside the ground.

My only other suggestion is to maybe add DirectInput support, that way you can use a joystick (or in my case a duel analogue controller) to fly a bit better.

Dialog says my current system doesn''t support volumetric fog
Then it shows screen with few model heli pictures, plays copter sound and quits.
Gotta try next week with another computer.
Btw. I have model heli too

Coming soon...
Yeah, collision detection is not very good in it Michalson. I might fix that later. The shadow is a bit bogey aswell.
DirectInput support is a good idea, but I didn''t know that there was dual analog controllers out there for pcs ??

stefu if already have a helicopter then you''d like the game if you can get it running - it might save you a lot of money. Them helicopters are bloody expensive to crash
Works fine, though it was a tad fast.

Duron 1.2GHz
384MB RAM
Radeon 9700
Celeron ][ 566 @ 850256MB PC-100 CAS2 RAMDFI PA-61 Mainboard (250MB memory bandwidth sucks, it should be 500MB)ATI Radeon 32MB DDR LEWindows 98SE

Yeah, they cost about the same a half decent joystick. I paid $40 CDN, which is about $25 US for my Firestorm.

That looks alright !

A good idea! that should be able to give full analog control, i reckoned it wasn''t possible on pc.

Thanks for the suggestion mic. I''ll look into in the future
NitroGL... if you are playing it again, can you hit the "6" key while the game is running - that should bring up a display - tell me what the FPS is.
Nice one
