I am looking or an artist, and possibly someone who has animation skills. I have many different projects I am working on that I can create with code, but I do not have the artistic talent to bring to the level that I want them. These projects include a website, forums, games, and videos that will be integrated into the site and the games. I am going to need someone who is a little more artisticly inclined to bring these projects to life. My main goal is to create games and continue progressing my game development experience, but anyone who is interested in helping our other projects is welcome to do so. Im going to start small with whoever is interested. Im looking for a logo for my "group" first. Im hoping someone can come up with a creative symbol to represent us. From there I may have him/her (or another artist/animator) animate the object into a short avi as a splash animation for the different projects we create. I will be starting on another game very shortly, which is going to be pretty extensive. Where I go after that depends on what grabs my (and my teams) interest and what happens with my next project. I am going to TRY to give 100% artistic freedom. I typically work with Flash/HTML for my web development, C++ for programming, and Flash for animation/movies. The artist typically wont have to worry about any coding, but knowledge of Flash and being able to make animations/movies of their art is a big plus. The overall setting for production is casual, but we are here to actually get things done. Plans for projects will be written out, and we will attempt to adhere to general project development guidelines. This isnt an effort to make profits off of what we create, so there will be no restrictive timeframes. We are still learning as much as we are producing. I want to again stress that this will be casual, there will not be any pressure, and anyone can opt out any time they like. There will most likely be long periods of time that I will spend coding, so there will be plenty of time for production on all levels. I would really like to get the "group" logo and animation soon so our members have something to adhere to. My next focus will be on a 2d fantasy game. I am going to need a lot of sprites and a good amount of maps. Again, this isnt going to be a money making machine, and I dont have money to dish out, so be clear this isnt a job. I programm because I have a passion for it, and if you want to help I want it to be for the same reason. Although, I am about recognition. Any project that you devote work to you will get credit for. This can be a one time deal, or you can decide to be part of our "group" if the opportunity arises.
