Stop, wait, dont run away. This isnt a newbie topic about cel shading Does anyone know anywhere that has cartoon like free textures, as opposed to realistic ones found everywhere. I dont mean cel shaded like textures. I mean like in Mario Sunshine or Sonic Adventure. Bright, non-realistic textures? Thanks

This kind is very cool, I use these textures im my games.
I draw using pen and papper then put in a scanner, then I clear the image in photoshop or you can use vetorials, like flash, freehand and coreldraw...

Yeah, thats what i usually do, but they always turn out looking to cel shaded when ive finished in PS. Maybe i should just tone-down the colors to get thta mario sunshine effect

Another thing you might want to try, depending on the look you''re going for, is to set the ambient light all the way up in the 3D program you are using. This will kill any effect the lights in the scene have on the textures, and helps to give a really cartoony look. Also, check out oken3d.com - she (Eni) uses very cartoony textures to nice effect.
