has anyone heard of this package from microsoft:
MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ 6.0 DELUXE LEARNING EDITION
i was wondering a few thigns about it. Any insight would be welcome.
1) is learnng visual c++ 6.0 worth it now that .net is out
2) is this pachage any good for a beginner
I know I`ve been posting alot recently, And i am truly appreciative for the replies. I`m just a day or two away from going and dropping a big bomb (money) on my first, self-made, programming "starter kit".

1) There''s no need for you to get .NET; I suppose if you MUST have the newest version of everything you can get it, but 6.0 is perfectly fine. If you already have 6.0, I certainly see no need to spend money on upgrading.
2) The package is OK for beginners, once you learn how to use it. Really, what package you use doesn''t matter very much, anyone from any experience level can use the IDEs I know of.
