Do you mean NeHe''s contests, or gamedev.net''s contests ?

I mean NeHe contest..

That depends on the amount of support that comes in and how busy NeHe is. I think many are hopeing for another contest when Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers comes out later this year.
-------------------------------------------------------BZZZZTT - CRASH - BANG"What was that?!""Captain, it appears that we have encountered a strange sub-space anomaly. I'm getting a high reading of tracheons beams. The anomaly seems to be some kind of rift in the space-time continuum. -- Never mind, Bones was just using the microwave again."
Oh God, I hope it''s not going be to another LOTR contest. That turned me off entering the last one.

Death of one is a tragedy, death of a million is just a statistic.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
i hope it is, only because i''ve been working on a two towers entry ever since the fellowship one was announced (clever eh?)

It would be cool if we did an online team thing...make things a bit more fair. It would also be neat if we all make games...or perhaps even a free for all. I hate non-interactive demos. Most of them can be recreated with a 3d animation program and a lot of time.

Thats not the point at all. Creating a non-interactive demo using your engine is harder than creating an interactive one for many reasons ( I can''t be arsed to go into them here ). Whether you can do the same thing with a modelling program is absolutely irrelevent.

I just want to point out that it takes one person to make a demo (non-interactive) and a team to make a game (interactive).
Rubbish. Check out Wizard Duel 2 in the 4e3 contest entries. Sure, it took a lot of work (mostly because it was interactive), but I did it on my own (except for the music) in 2 months.

Going by the success of the nehe team entry, I'd say a team can easily be a disadvantage, especially if you don't know your teammates IRL.
