The title says it all, i just came accross this excellent website on how to stop your stuff getting hacked. Did it whilst i was in the middle of shutting down some pesky site thats popped up AGAIN! with my code.... read and enjoy, and pls post similar links http://inner-smile.com/nocrack.phtml http://www.positech.co.uk
You use just a standard registration code ?
Wouldn''t creating a dynamic registration code be a bit safer with least hassle. For example creating the registration code based on the id generated on the first install which is based on the time, or perhaps windows CD Key or something ?

But what if the user wants to install the game on another pc,maybe his laptop? Or if he reinstalls windows and has to reinstall the game, too? And things like that...

Does a standard/generic serial/regcode mean that any user can use that serial?
So if a single code was leaked on the net, every user could use that same code for unlocking their game?
I have used a single code before, but I do exactly what you suggest with a user specific code for other games.
In either case, that website has some good information on making these systems harder to crack.
