Not wanting to start a big debate or anything (there have been enough) but read this: Hello, The member and/or site you reported to the Terra-Lycos Abuse Team has been removed from our servers. I wanted to clarify that the creator of the page is in no way directly associated with Tripod, Angelfire, or the Lycos Network. Neither Tripod nor Angelfire exercise any editorial control over what our members place on their pages nor their other Internet related activities. I hope you will find that our prompt response addresses your concerns. If you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Bryan Terra Lycos Network Abuse Specialist http://reportabuse.lycos.com Just thought Id post this email as eveidence that as a shareware author, if you come accross a site offering cracks or codes for your game, you CAN get them removed, in this case pretty darned easily. So don''t think its futile do it! In this case, the site listed 200 crackz, so I just helped out 199 other software companies as well as my own http://www.positech.co.uk
Yeah, thats great. I''ve had similar experiences trying to get sites shut down when they are hosted on North American based servers. Now, getting an Asian based site shut down is a different story for a different thread. Good work though.
