new project.... disneyland
Is there any disneyland fanatics out there? If there is do you think that you would want to help me create an entirely virtual disneyland. I''ll probly get flamed but it''s something i''ve wanted to do for a very long time but have never anyone help me so now i''m asking for help. If theres any disney nuts out there plz reply. Thanks
What would it be like technically? A first person game you can walk around in, a Myst style "click and see what a Silicon Graphics Workstation can render in 4 hours" game, a 2D point and click adventure?
Don''t forget the classic (not really) park simulation game!

it would be more like a first person shooter... only without the guns... and the bad guys. It would just be a tour, where you could ride on the rides, my friend first presented me with the idea but I didn''t believe him so he showed me sumthing he whiped up in a few weeks, it was the haunted mansion! It was kinda crappy quality since it only took him 3 weeks and a bunch of stuff was missing, but you could definitly tell.. it was so cool so I since then i''ve wanted to make the whole park in great detail. But I know how long that would take me so i''m looking for help.
(IMHO) BOOOOOOOORING!
I think that is lack of inspiration, or can be a fake inspiration.. in fact if i go to beach, then is common to have a fake inspiration about beach.

*ahem*
If its considered a problem a mod will take care of it by closing/deleting/warning. If you want to mark this as a crosspost or otherwise point out a breach of forum rules, fine, but there is no need to act in a rude manner, "bitch".
if this was a boring idea then mgm would not have released a gamecube and xbox game that does percisly this. each ride was interactive, yet things like the back to the future ride, and many others became mini games instead of the actual ride. thus you actually controlled moving the car around, or shot things, etc.
personally i think the hardest thing to overcome is the fact you cant use any disney characters or ride names, and need to be careful that disney dont think its their park.
so fancy naming will be the key. creating the rides and layout will be quite tough as well, make sure you map it out well in advance. also get a firm idea of how things will be so the engine you use can handle everything needed. you could even try using the UT engine to save time in actual creation of the 3d engine. you will also need to split the park up into smaller level sections so that its possible run in realtime.
a good idea (i personally find these things facinating when they are free), but will require work.
