My first engine
For the past 5 weeks, I have been working on my first OpenGL engine while learning advanced topics from Nehe tutorials and other sites. While still far from done, I have finished enough to make up a small demo of what I have accomplished so far. Please try it out and tell me if it works and whatever feedback you can give.
Address of the demo: http://ryan_lurvey.tripod.com/Elemental_Engine_Demo.zip
Of if you want to check out the webpage on it: http://ryan_lurvey.tripod.com/engine.html
I asked one of the Black Robes why the Deceiver wasn''t going to stay to defend the dam, and he tersely replied: "He goes to warn the Emperor; moving through odd angles, faster than any man, and if unobserved, much faster than that."

hey, that''s actually pretty good! :D i especially liked the good use of multitexturing and the smooth path of the particle ball!
one thing though, i don''t know if it''s just me, but when i quit, it froze my computer and i had to restart.

hmmm... shurcool, what are the specs on your PC?
One thing to add to my original post; could people try out the radial and motion blurring and post the results on performance? I tested the demo on a PC with a Geforce2MX. I would like to see how PCs like a Geforce 3, etc with DDR memory and better architexture handle the load.

urgh. tripod pisses me off...
"The Tripod page you are trying to reach has exceeded its hourly bandwidth limit. The site will be available again in 1 hour!"

I knew that tripod had bandwidth limits, but I didn''t know they were by the hour! Things like this really piss me off.
Anyways... if the links above bounce, I have posted the demo at another location. Here is the address:
