In case any of you have noticed, I've been gone for a while.

Well I'm back.

Long story short: computer got fried, but didn't realize it until too late because other stuff got fried too. So new computer now, and all is happy.

Yes, beef is still my friend.

The computer is a 1.8 GHz Pentium M Tablet PC, a Toshiba Portege M200. The handwriting recognition is actually good enough to parse my chicken scratchings.
