Launched Spellbound on Steam

It's 10:15PM on Monday Night. I just launched Spellbound on Steam for the HTC Vive VR headset. This is not only the first game I've ever launched, it's a VR game. Pure craziness. I'm feeling a bit emotional about it right now because it marks the accomplishment of a lifelong dream, which has been something I've wanted to do for more than half my life. 18 years later, and I did it. Wow. Even if I get no sales or a ton of bad reviews, I'm kind of okay with that. I now have what it takes. I'm in the industry. I'm a game developer... **tears**

Anyways, it's time to go drink a beer in celebration tonight, and then get to work tomorrow fixing an expected slew of bugs tomorrow. Here's the link for anyone that's interested:

I'll have to write a longer thought out reflection post later.

Well done mate - one thing I would suggest based on the initial discussion threads in your shopfront is probably pinning a post that explains the hardware configs i.e. what can be used in what to achieve said results or differing results.

8 Reviews in 3 days most are very positive about the game and its future. Congratulations.

Yeah, that has been most surprising for me. I was expecting a LOT more complaints about lack of content and low reviews as a result, and having to issue a big public apology.

I think as long as you are honest about the content amount your audience will be much happier.

I would agree with the one review that getting to skip the book speech would be nice.

Have a warning screen pop up and tell the player the will be skipping the content and maybe even have a text box version of it.

Aside from that I hope this influx of positive reviews has helped you dig deeper and create more excitement to press forward. Game Development can be a hard and lonely process.
