Completed a 2nd revision of my personal page. I condensed several pages to one and removed commenting on all but the photos page. Visitors can now view source online and stare at movies of the primary projects. It's straightforward.

Working hard to complete my 3rd revision of the Oak ET website. I'll be using the site to boost profits on models by cutting out the middle man and giving the customer a discount for buying direct. Made a session based shopping cart, random advertising, automated product uploading, et cetera. It is not yet complete but it is to a point where I'd like to show it off and get some feedback before it goes live.

I've recently acquired some web space that supports the whole .net thing. Which means I've started making C# apps. I'm working through Microsoft's C# 2005 Step by Step book. I like it and would recommend it to anyone downgrading to C# from C++. My asp.net book should be here any day and then I can start in on the web material. I've always favored php to classical asp but I wonder how .net will compare.

I really like Oak's new site, looks much more professional now. [wink].

Hah! You'll change tables sooner or later.

I completely missed this update to your journal because of your new Avatar. So used to the old one [headshake]

Websites look pretty sweet to me - very professional. Might have to check it out properly sometime, my programmer art sucks - so I've been giving some serious thought to buying in a few decent ones.

I'm interesting in any further tips regarding migrating/using/downgrading to C# - it's likely to be my project for this summer.

Cheers,
Jack

Awww how cute. [wink] I'll probably be using it for gui type apps from now on. I just wanted to get a reaction was all. Tanks.

I appreciate you having a look and the comments. I've put a lot of time into them both.

Yes. And there is good reason for the change. See next entry.
